Kerala's chief minister congratulates Prannoy on his victory in the Malaysia Masters Super 500 race

On Monday, Indian badminton star HS Prannoy received congratulations from Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan after winning the men's singles championship in the Malaysia Masters Super 500 competition in Kuala Lumpur. Prannoy's outstanding accomplishment, according to Vijayan, not only made Kerala proud but would inspire future athletes to put in more effort.

Prannoy, the ninth-ranked player in the world and a native of Kerala, reportedly won the championship on Sunday after beating Weng Hong Yang of China in a three-game final. Prannoy has won the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour for the first time. According to reports, it would be India's first singles victory of 2023.
