Share Market Update: Positive start of stock market, Sensex and Nifty trading on green mark

The Stock Market opened with a slight rise on the last trading day of the week. Both the major indices of the stock market Sensex and Nifty are trading on the green mark. Today, out of the top 30 Sensex stocks, 19 stocks are trading fast, while 11 stocks are on the red mark. Today Titan, IndusInd Bank, UltraTech Cement, Tata Motors and L&T are the biggest gainers. At the same time, the shares of Hindustan Lever and ITC of FMCG sector are on the red mark. Whereas IT stocks like Wipro and Infosys are trading with losses.

In the morning Sensex is trading at 48 points 62896 while Nifty is trading up 29 points at 18664. Advances are visible in 37 stocks in Nifty 50 while decline is visible in 11 stocks. The stocks which are seeing a boom here include the shares of HEROMOTOCO, ADANIENT, BRITANNIA, DR REDDY, JSWSTEEL. At the same time, the shares of HDFCLIFE, HINDUNILVR, INDUSINDBK are showing a decline.

At the same time, 2995 shares are being traded on BSE. Advances are visible in 1575 stocks while the decline is visible in 1307 stocks. 97 stocks have touched a 52-week high while 17 stocks have touched a 52-week low. 

Amid the Reserve Bank’s decision to keep the policy interest rate unchanged, on Thursday, profit-booking in vehicle, bank and information technology stocks stopped the rally in the local stock markets for four trading days and both the major indices fell by about half a percent. BSE’s benchmark index Sensex remained positive for most of the trade but fell 294.32 points, or 0.47 percent, to 62,848.64 in the last hour due to profit-booking. At one point during the trading, the Sensex fell by 353.23 points.

The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also closed at a level of 18,634.55 points with a loss of 91.85 points, or 0.49 percent.

Among the companies included in the Sensex, Kotak Mahindra Bank had to face the maximum decline of 2.68 percent. Tech Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Motors, Tata Consultancy Services, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Nestle and Titan also declined.

On the other hand, gains were registered in the shares of NTPC, Power Grid, Larsen & Toubro, HDFC, Reliance and HDFC Bank. In the broader market, BSE Midcap fell 0.87 percent, while Smallcap registered a loss of 0.47 percent.
