India has so far won one gold, one silver, and one bronze in the competition.
But in their respective encounters, the three Indian shooters came up empty. Naruka finished fourth in the final, meaning she was denied both an Olympic quota and a medal. In the six-man final, the Indian went out after making 33 of 40 strokes.

After shooting 53/60, Qatar’s Rashid Saleh Al-Athba went on to win the gold medal, followed by Minshu Kim of South Korea, who scored 51/60. Meng Yuan Lee of China Taipei took up the bronze medal with a 42/50 score.

Men’s skeet finalist Gurjoat Khangura was the first to withdraw after missing five of the first twenty shots. After scoring 121 from five rounds, he finished third in the qualifying round.

With a score of 119, Naruka placed seventh in the qualifying round but advanced to the six-man final against South Korea’s Jongjun Lee, who placed fourth and was competing only for ranking points (RPO). Vikram Karn Singh participated under RPO and finished 40th with a score of 107, while Angad Vir Singh Bajwa finished ninth with 118.

At 15th position with a score of 108, Ganemat Sekhon was the highest-placed Indian in the women’s skeet. Kartiki Singh and Parinaaz Dhaliwal came behind her on the 17th and 18th, respectively. Darshna Rathore shot 106 in the field of 28 shooters, placing him 19th.

One qualification event for the Olympics in Paris is the Asian Championships. There are 24 Olympic quotas available, and the top two finishers in each of the 12 Olympic shooting competitions (one from each nation) will earn a berth on their national teams.
